Izidor Janžekovič is an archaeologist and a historian, currently researching for a PhD in comparative history at CEU. He holds two MPhils in Archaeology and History, in which he graduated summa cum laude at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. For the Master's thesis on the "old Slavic sanctuary" he received Prešeren Award for the best Master's Thesis. At the University of Oxford, he completed an MSt degree with the thesis The Balance of Sea Power, Case Study: The Anglo-Dutch Wars (1652–74). He has published several original articles in several notable journals.
